The History of De Silva Holdings (Pty) Ltd
Our journey began in 2004 with the vision of creating and growing an investment portfolio of companies focused in varied high-level growth sectors in the region. Our initial investment was in a marketing and communications company that served as a multi-level provider to the international trade facilitation industry within Sub-Saharan Africa. Our core competencies and business focus since inception have been:
1. International Trade Facilitation (B to B Interfacing)
2. Exhibition Organisation and Management
3. Marketing and Communications Services
4. Consulting Services
These services are now provided through our trading company Intrepid Innovations (Pty) Ltd, through which we have organised, managed and delivered a multitude of International Trade Facilitation platforms throughout the years. Owning our own Trade Show Brands such as The Treasures of India Lifestyle ExtravaganzaTM and The IndiFusion Lifestyle ExperienceTM, Intrepid Innovations has fast become a regional favourite in terms of the development of Business to Consumer platforms throughout Southern Africa. Intrepid Innovations has further partnered with Scan Display, South Africa’s leading exhibitions infrastructure provider and is currently the registered distributor for Scan Display in Eswatini.
In 2014, the company ventured into the telecommunications industry through the establishment of De Silva Communications (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of the holdings company. De Silva Communications partnered with the likes of Altron Nexus, Masterpower Technologies and Neotel (Pty) Ltd (2nd Network Operator of South Africa) and commenced the provision of Radio Communications, Managed Transformation Services, Business Process Outsourcing Services and Data Centre Development and Management services in Eswatini. Working very closely with The Eswatini Posts and Telecommunications Corporation (EPTC) and The Ministry of ICT in 2016, we successfully delivered the road map for the unbundling process of posts and telecommunications within the Kingdom that is today being utilised to migrate Eswatini’s telecommunications backbone infrastructure to International Best Practice and World Class standard.
More recently, in 2016 De Silva Property Development (Pty) Ltd was born with a vision of conceptualising and delivering executive and luxury-based residential and commercial property investments in and around Sub-Saharan Africa. Our flagship project, Ezulwini Executive Apartments, completed in August 2017 has proven to be a market pioneer within Eswatini and stands as a true testament to the abilities of the organisation. As one of the highest rated Hotel-Living establishments in the Kingdoms fastest developing economic zone, Ezulwini Executive Apartments stands apart from all other projects in and around its’ geographical location.
